Saint-Louis - Lighting collection designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance

Inspired by the Vosges forest, the Folia collection, alliance of crystal and wood, has further ramifications: a comprehensive range of contemporary lightings with made-to-measure organic shapes, thanks to a modular and easily customisable system. For the first time ever, Folia will also appear with a satin finish, as covered with frost, reminiscence of the wintery cold leaving its mark on leaves and nature surrounding the Saint-Louis’ manufacture.

With Folia, Saint-Louis combines wood and crystal. The wood (clear, dark or white solid ash with a matt varnish) comes from French forests. It is crafted by associating lines and curves with great attention to detail. This dual-material approach is a perfect catalyst for the crystal’s radiance. The finishes in brushed brass or chrome emphasize the structure of the lamps. Folia collection features distinctively pure shapes and richly-decorated crystal with deep bevel cuts. The pattern, both geometric and organic, is inspired by leaves and the factory’s surrounding natural environment.

Shining again through this animation of the transverse Folia collection, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance’s vision finds itself in the universal character of nature to bring up to life its creations. “Crystal has the amazing ability to capture and amplify the slightest ray of light.”. The 2019 new designs – modular and customisable system, chandeliers, sconces, ceiling lights and portable lamps - are a dazzling illustration of this.

With Folia Frosted, each key piece of the collection now appears like frosted, as a satin finish adorns their geometric cut, as it was touched by nature itself, and is thus brought to a different season, eventually accomplishing the designer’s desire to see its creation growing and evolving with its user.
