The new year starts at imm Cologne

2019 starts with imm Cologne, a fair dedicated to interior design and a benchmark for the international furniture market. It will take place in Koelnmessefrom 18th to 20th January in conjunction with the biennial LivingKitchen, an international kitchen furniture fair trade. The presence of Made in Italy brands showcasing new collections, innovations and ideas is also growing: over 100, compared to the 94 of 2018 and 92 of 2017.

"Use the entire bandwidth of digital possibilities"

For this edition the fair is committed to pursue the motto "Use the entire bandwidth of digital possibilities". The long-term purpose of the fair is to create its own area of interest for digital economyoffering suppliers, platforms and online portals a forum to exchange views and information. For Koelnmesse, digitalisation is not only an important tool to further develop the customer’s pathway and the experience of the fairs, but also to generate an added value for its exhibitors.

From Pure Talents Contest to Future Kitchen: the news of the 2019 edition

Among the key players of the next edition are the section "Pure" thatshowcases, like every year, design in its various forms, and Pure Talents Contest, a competition for design students who, for the first time this year, will set up a special exhibition on the world of kitchen furniture in the area of LivingKitchen.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, the exhibition “100 years bauhaus - work in progress" is absolutely unmissable, as well as the two-day talks session. The 8th edition of Das Haus, the setup of an ideal home by Truly Trulystudio in Rotterdam, is also worth mentioning.

Within LivingKitchen the project Future Design, signed by designer Alfredo Häberli, aims at reflecting on this field inviting visitors to interact and experience first-hand a series of futuristic tools and electrical appliance.

Not only stands and events

For design lovers, the next edition of imm Cologne hosts Designers Market by blickfang, where visitors will be able to get in contact with 100 independent design studios, know their professional environment better and take home a design object.
