Miart: Art, performance and collectible design

April in Milan is the most intense and artistic month of the year, rich of modern and contemporary art, talks, performances and collectible design. Thanks to Miart, Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, the city comes alive with contemporary art and design. From April 13 to April 15, Miart - the Milanese art fair- will be back directed for the second year in a row by Alessandro Rabottini. The event brings together 186 galleries from all over the world.

AMONG THE SIX SECTIONS, A SPACE FOR COLLECTOR DESIGN

As usual also this year, among the six sections of the exhibition, there will be Object - section dedicated to collectible design- which will be curated by Hugo Macdonald.

Fourteen galleries will be involved in Object, with international companies taking part to it for the first time (such as Galleri Feldt from Copenhagen, Ammann Gallery from Cologne or Atelier Jespers from Brussels), as well as others already present in other editions, such as Luisa Delle Piane, Dimoregallery and Erastudio Apartment-Gallery.

NOT ONLY OBJECT

A designer project is the protagonist of the Vip Lounge where Michael Anastassiades signs an installation for Flos, In the restaurant area, the English designer will bring Arrangements, halfway between figurative art and industrial design.

As always, the fair will be accompanied by a cycle of talks that will explore the dimension of imagination as a force that transforms reality (curators: João Ribas and from London Fatos Üstek).
